A late goal from Netherlands international Robin van Persie in stoppage time rescued a vital point for Manchester United against Premier League table-toppers Chelsea as the two giant clubs shared the spoils in a highly entertaining encounter. However, Old Trafford manager Louis van Gaal was not entirely happy with the way his centre forward celebrated his goal.

In a Premier League fixture where nine yellow cards were handed out by rereree Phil Dowd, Chelsea and Serbia defender Branislav Ivanovic was ordered off the pitch for a second bookable offence in the 90th minute of the contest, and only three minutes later in the match Robin van Persie received a needless booking for pulling off his shirt after scoring the equalising goal for Manchester United. And even though the trigger happy central attacker appeared to be caught up in the heat of the moment, fellow countryman Louis van Gaal was not particularly amused by his celebration.
