Da­vid Moyes´s Man­chester Uni­ted wrapped up their pre-sea­son friendly mat­ches wi­th a 1-1 draw ag­ainst Swedish Pre­mier Lea­gue out­fit AIK in front of an at­tend­ance of more than 30,000 spec­tat­ors at the Friends Arena Sta­dium in Stock­holm. Robin Quais­on sco­red for An­dreas Alm´s plucky te­am, whi­le An­gelo Hen­riquez net­ted for the vis­it­ors from Manchester.

The Man­chester Uni­ted play­ers roun­ded up their 2013 pre-sea­son tour as they locked horns wi­th Swedish te­am AIK, also known as All­menna Idrott­sklub­ben, at the new­ly built 50,000 ca­pa­city Friends Arena. In their pre­vi­ous friendly clash, Uni­ted had de­feated Hong Kong Fir­st Di­vi­sion Lea­gue si­de Kit­chee Sports Club by a hand­some 5–2 mar­gin at the Hong Kong Sta­dium cour­tesy of goals from Dan­ny Wel­beck, Chris Small­ing, Fa­bio da Silva, Ad­nan Januzaj, and Jesse Lin­gard re­spect­ively. In Stock­holm, Man­chester Uni­ted en­joyed a num­ber of of de­cent op­por­tun­it­ies to find the back of the net dur­ing the fir­st ha­lf of the tie, but they failed to cap­it­al­ise on any of them. AIK also had their goal scor­ing chances be­fore the ha­lf-time break, but their for­ward line lacked fin­ish­ing. As it turned out, how­ever, it was The Gnaw who went in­to the lead thanks to Swedish in­ter­na­tion­al wing­er Robin Quais­on who­se power­ful shot flew pa­st An­ders Linde­gaard re­place­ment Ben Amos and in­to the top right-hand cor­ner of the net a mere four min­utes fol­low­ing the re­sump­tion of action.

An­gelo Hen­riquez ev­entually ma­naged to equal­ise for the Eng­lish Pre­mier Lea­gue Cham­pi­ons, tho­ugh, as the nine­teen-year-old at­tack­er bril­liantly vol­leyed ho­me a su­perbly de­livered cross by ex-Crys­tal Pal­ace fa­vour­ite Wil­fried Za­ha in the 68th min­ute of the pre-sea­son friendly fix­ture to make the score­board at the Friends Arena read 1-1. Robin van Per­sie came clo­se dur­ing the lat­ter sta­ges of the sec­ond ha­lf, on­ly to watch his head­er go­ing wide. Man­chester Uni­ted man­ager Da­vid Moyes made five sub­sti­tu­tions dur­ing the mat­ch, put­ting An­gelo Hen­riques in for Lu­is Nani, Ben Amos in for An­ders Linde­gaard, Chris Small­ing in for Jon­ny Evans, Dan­ny Wel­beck in for  Za­ha, and Bebe in for Ry­an Gig­gs. Un­for­tu­nately, Evans and Nani bo­th had to leave the field dur­ing the con­test be­cause of in­jury. A not­able ab­sent­ee in Stock­holm was Way­ne Roo­ney who ap­par­ently had a prob­lem wi­th his shoulder.
