Aston Villa 2 Manchester United 2, Villa Park, English Premier League, November 13, 2010. Manchester United came from two goals down to snatch a point in a 2-2 draw against Aston Villa in front of more than 40,000 spectators at Villa Park. Ashley Young and Marc Albrighton gave The Claret and Blue a 2-0 lead with fifteen minutes left on the watch of referee Mike Dean, but United refused to be defeated as Federico Macheda and Nemanja Vidic scored a goal each during the final stages of the match.

Manchester United made the relatively short trip to Birmingham for a lunchtime kick-off against Aston Villa on the 13th of November 2010. Undefeated United came into this encounter after a string of good results and Sir Alex Ferguson´s men proved once again that they were an extremely hard side to beat. At Villa Park, Manchester United netted twice in the last nine minutes of the clash to earn themselves a 2-2 draw against The Villains, and thus stretching their unbeaten run to a highly impressive twenty-six games. Following a rather dull first half, the Premier League fixture eventually came to life late in the second period when Ashley Young put Aston Villa ahead from the penalty spot in the 72nd minute after the tricky-footed flanker had been brought down inside the area by Manchester United defender Wes Brown. Sir Alex immediately replaced Dimitar Berbatov and Javier Hernandez with Federico Macheda and Gabriel Obertan respectively, but Villa doubled their advantage in the 75th minute of proceedings as an accurate cross from Stewart Downing was tapped into the back of the net by England U21 international winger Marc Albrighton. Manchester United finally found the net when Macheda scored with an eye-catching strike from some twenty yards after Darren Fletcher had back-heeled the ball back to the Italian, and with five minutes remaining of normal time Nemanja Vidic squared the tie when he met a superb cross from Nani with a diving header which Brad Friedel in the Aston Villa goal stood no chance with. Aston Villa Team: Brad Friedel, Luke Young, Stephen Warnock, Richard Dunne, James Collins, Barry Bannan, Ashley Young, Stewart Downing, Marc Albrighton, Jonathan Hogg, Gabriel Agbonlahor.
