Boro equalised six minutes past the hour mark when substitute James Morrison smashed a volley past Manchester United shot stopper Edwin van der Sar and into the bottom left corner of the net, but the visitors had the last laugh as Darren Fletcher headed home a cross from Ryan Giggs two minutes later.
