Bursaspor 0 Manchester United 3, Bursa Ataturk Stadium, UEFA Champions League Group Stage, November 2, 2010. Manchester United had no problems at all in overcoming Turkish Premier League Champions Bursaspor 3-0 in Bursa. After comfortably beating The Green Crocodiles, United were now undefeated in 23 matches in all competitions.

In order to move ahead, Manchester United gaffer Sir Alex Ferguson had taken a clean break from the Rooneygate affair before the Champions League encounter against Bursaspor in Bursa. And although United were red hot  favourites to win the match at the Bursa Ataturk Stadium, the experienced head coach could hardly have beeen accused of underestimating Bursaspor as the visiting players completely silenced the boisterous home crowd with a breathtaking display after the break. Manchester United were the better team by far as they quite simply outclassed the Turkish Premier League outfit courtesy of second-half goals from Darren Fletcher, Gabriel Obertan, and Bebe. Following a relatively boring first half, Manchester United went into the lead just three minutes after the resumption of play when a brilliant pass from Michael Carrick found Fletcher who lashed an unstoppable low shot into the far corner, while Obertan made the scoreline read 2-0 in United’s favour in the 73rd minute of the contest, hammering home after he got away from the defender. Summer signing Bebe then netted the third goal in the 77th minute of the action as the Portuguese forward ran on to a Paul Scholes pass before he finished from ten yards out. Manchester United now topped Group C with ten points and only needed a point in their next fixture against Rangers to seal qualification. As for Bursaspor, the Bursa Ataturk Stadium club had lost all four group games without scoring and were rock bottom of the group.  Bursaspor Team: Dimitar Ivankov, Ali Tandogan, Ibrahim Ozturk, Omer Erdogan, Gustav Svensson, Wederson, Ivan Ergic, Federico Insua, Turgay Bahadir, Sercan Yildrim , Volkan Sen.
