Da­vid Moyes told the mass me­dia that his Man­chester Uni­ted si­de would be fa­cing a very tough chal­lenge to re­tain the Pre­miership title fol­low­ing the 1-0 ho­me de­feat ag­ainst his for­mer club Ever­ton. Af­ter los­ing to the Liv­er­pudli­ans, Uni­ted were now as much as twelve points adrift of ta­ble top­pers Ar­senal who over­came Hull City by 2-0 at Emir­ates Stadium.

Man­chester Uni­ted lost 1-0 to a hard-work­ing, but fairly av­er­age Ever­ton te­am in what was their sec­ond ho­me de­feat of the 2013-14 sea­son. The Old Traf­ford out­fit cre­ated sev­er­al qual­ity scor­ing op­por­tun­it­ies through­out the en­counter, but the hosts failed to be­at Good­ison Park goal­keeper Tim How­ard. Da­vid Moyes: “It is dis­ap­point­ing to lose, but that is the way the ga­me goes some­times. Man­chester Uni­ted missed some op­por­tun­it­ies to score, whi­le Ever­ton took their chances.
