Man­chester Uni­ted 1 Shakhtar Don­etsk 0, Old Traf­ford, UEFA Cham­pions Lea­gue Group Sta­ge, Dec­ember 10, 2013. Man­chester Uni­ted man­ager Da­vid Moyes was reas­on­ably pleased wi­th the per­form­ance of his si­de ag­ainst Shakhtar Dontesk in the Cham­pi­ons League. 

Man­chester Uni­ted were not up to their usu­al high stand­ard in the fir­st ha­lf, but things im­proved fol­low­ing the break and Eng­land in­ter­na­tion­al de­fender Phil Jones pro­duced the de­cis­ive goal for the hosts in the 67th min­ute of the tussle. In the af­ter­math of the mat­ch ag­ainst Shakhtar Dontesk, Da­vid Moyes told the me­dia that he was hop­ing that his play­ers would start a run and kick on. Da­vid Moyes: “The Man­chester Uni­ted play­ers are well ex­per­i­enced in Euro­pean foot­ball so I think that they are more than cap­able of play­ing at this level. The play­ers are com­fort­able wi­th it.
