Manchester U 2 West Ham 1
Manchester United 4 West Ham United 0, Old Trafford, English Premier League, April 13, 2019. Manchester United beat West Ham 2-1 at Old Trafford to gain their third home victory on the trot. The win took Ole Gunnar Solskjaer´s boys up to fifth place in the table, two points behind fourth placed Chelsea, and three points adrift of Spurs in third spot.
After an action packed opening in which West Ham had a goal disallowed for offside, Manchester United went ahead in the 19th minute when Paul Pogba scored from the spot after a foul on Juan Mata in the box. Former Santos and Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson levelled the score for West Ham four minutes into the second half, only for Pogba to convert another penalty in the 80th minute following a challenge on Anthony Martial inside the area. Old Trafford manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted in the aftermath, though, that his side were lucky to win the match.
