Man­chester Uni­ted 4 Tot­ten­ham Hot­spur 1, Old Traf­ford, Eng­lish Foot­ball Lea­gue Fir­st Di­vi­sion, Septem­ber 26, 1964. Man­chester Uni­ted gain­ed their fourth Fir­st Di­vi­sion win on the trot as they out­classed Tot­ten­ham Hot­spur 4-1 at Old Traf­ford. Pad­dy Cre­rand gave Uni­ted an early lead be­fore the mid­field en­for­cer sco­red a sec­ond goal for the hosts shortly af­ter the re­sump­tion, whi­le fel­low Scots­man De­nis Law ad­ded two more goals la­ter in the half.

Man­chester Uni­ted, who had be­en held to a 1-1 draw by Djur­garden at Rasunda Sta­dium in the Inter-Cit­ies Fair Cup three days earli­er, went ahead when Pad­dy Cre­rand be­at away goal­keeper Pat Jen­nings wi­th a thun­der­bolt shot from twenty yards out in the 17th min­ute of the clash. Uni­ted kept on dom­in­at­ing fol­low­ing the in­ter­val and doubled their lead thro­ugh an­oth­er goal from Cre­rand el­ev­en min­utes in­to the sec­ond frame, and a min­ute be­fore the hour ma­rk De­nis Law made it 3-0 to The Reds. Jim­my Robert­son net­ted a con­sol­a­tion for The Li­ly­whites on 80 min­utes, on­ly for Law to make the fi­nal score read 4-1 in Man­chester United´s fa­vour nine min­utes la­ter.
