Af­ter be­ing held to a 2-2 draw by As­ton Vil­la at Vil­la Park, Man­chester Uni­ted bag­ged three im­port­ant points ag­ainst Wi­gan Ath­let­ic at Old Traf­ford thro­ugh goals from Pat­rice Ev­ra and Javi­er Her­nandez in the 46th and 77th min­utes re­spect­ively. Sir Al­ex Fer­guson: “We had a young te­am get about us at As­ton Vil­la last week, and it was like that from Wi­gan Athelt­ic this week. They were ag­gress­ive and tested ref­er­ee Mi­ke Atkin­son. We had a lot of free-kicks dur­ing the fir­st ha­lf.
