Cardiff City 2 Manchester United 2, Carditt City Stadium, English Premier League, November 24, 2013. Manchester United´s 4-0 triumph against Cardiff City at Old Trafford on the 1st of March 1975 was the turning point on their way to clinching the Second Division Championship in 1974-75. Thirty-eight years later, United and City met again, but this time in the Premier League. After seven minutes of action at The Carditt City Stadium, Wayne Rooney managed to pick up an early yellow card for a tough challenge on Cardiff midfielder Jordon Mutch. Rooney nevertheless redeemed himself as he gave Manchester United the lead eight minutes later, only for Frazier Campbell to produce an equaliser for The Bluebirds shortly after the half-hour mark. United eventually regained their advantage in the forty-fifth minute of the tie thanks to Patrice Evra, but Cardiff hit back again when Kim Bo-Kyung made the score two-all during stoppage time.
