Javi­er Her­nandez fou­nd the net for the hosts, whi­le Way­ne Rout­ledge and Wil­fried Bony re­gistered a goal each for the Liberty Sta­dium team.

Way­ne Rout­ledge put Swansea City in­to an early as the Eng­land U21 in­ter­na­tion­al wing­er lobbed the ball over Man­chester Uni­ted goal­keeper An­ders Linde­gaard and in­to the net af­ter twelve min­utes of ac­tion. Javi­er Her­nandez ma­naged to equal­ise for Man­chester Uni­ted when he con­ver­ted a fine cross from Dutch de­fender Al­ex­an­der Buttner four min­utes la­ter in the FA Cup Third Ro­und en­counter, but The Swans had the last laugh as for­mer Sparta Prague and Vitesse stri­ker Wil­fried Bony struck the win­ning goal in the 90th min­ute of the clash to give the Welsh­men an un­ex­pec­ted 2-1 vic­tory over The Reds.
