Rooney scored his first goal of the match in the eighth minute of play and notched up a second twelve minutes before the half-time signal.
Wayne Rooney scored both of the goals for Manchester United as they beat The Hammers by a comfortable 2-0 score and manager David Moyes was particularly impressed with his opening goal from some fifty yards out following only eight minutes of action.
