The Spaniards went ahead in the 32nd minute of proceedings through Pablo Hernandez before Oliveira Anderson brought United level on 62 minutes after away goalkeeper Vicente Guaita had parried an effort by fellow midfield man Ji-Sung Park.

To their credit, though, Sir Alex Ferguson´s men came out stronger following the interval and duly pulled one back two minutes past the hour mark as Oliveira Anderson scored one of his rare goals to rescue a point for the hosts.
