In the 55th minute of the encounter, Louis Saha netted United´s second goal of the afternoon before Portuguese sharpshooter Cristiano Ronaldo made it 3-0 just four minutes later. Then, in the 61st minute of the League Cup Final, Rooney put the cherry on the Manchester United cake when the previous Goodison Park marksman completed his brace with a close range effort to make the final score read 4-0 in favour of The Reds.
