Dur­ing his Man­chester Uni­ted ca­reer, Scott Woot­ton was loaned out to Tran­mere Rov­ers, Pe­ter­bor­ough Uni­ted, and Not­ting­ham For­est be­fore he sig­ned a three-year con­tract wi­th Foot­ball Lea­gue Cham­pi­on­ship te­am Leeds Uni­ted at the be­gin­ning of the 2013-14 cam­paign. The de­pend­able cent­ral de­fender cel­eb­rated his de­but for The Whi­tes by scor­ing the open­ing goal in a 3-1 Lea­gue Cup Sec­ond Ro­und tri­umph ag­ainst Don­caster Rov­ers at Keep­moat Sta­dium on the 27th of Au­gust 2013, and made his fir­st Cham­pi­on­ship ap­pear­ance for the club in a 1-0 de­feat to Queens Park Ran­gers at El­land Road four days la­ter. In the 2014-15 sea­son, tho­ugh, he was shipped out on loan to Roth­er­ham Uni­ted where he amassed sev­en Cham­pi­on­ship ap­pear­ances for The Millers un­der Scot­tish man­ager Ste­ve Evans. Af­ter ap­pear­ing in 66 Cham­pi­on­ship mat­ches for Leeds Uni­ted, Woot­ton de­cided to te­am up wi­th Lea­gue One si­de Milton Keynes Dons where he stayed for two sea­sons un­til he sig­ned wi­th Ply­mouth Argyle at the start of the 2018-19 cam­paign.
