The ga­me was the sec­ond stop on the club´s sum­mer tour of the Uni­ted States. 

Sir Al­ex Fer­guson had noth­ing but praise for his Man­chester Uni­ted te­am af­ter the 7-0 tri­umph ag­ainst Seattle Sounders. He also had a lot of good things to say about Amer­ic­an soc­cer fans. Sir Al­ex Fer­guson: “Man­chester Uni­ted had good sup­port to­night. The pleas­ing thing for me was the num­ber of fans all mixed to­geth­er. That was like the old days of Eng­land and Scot­land, when fans could mix to­geth­er and no trouble.
