Manchester United 4 Hull 0
Manchester United 4 Hull City 0, Old Trafford, English Premier League, January 23, 2010. Sir Alex Ferguson was well pleased with the effort of his men after watching his team overcome Hull City at Old Trafford. The Reds managed to win the encounter by a convincing score of 4-0 thanks to four brilliant goals from Three Lions international Wayne Rooney.
Sir Alex Ferguson was content with his Manchester United side following the comprehensive 4-0 triumph over Phil Brown´s Hull City and especially singled out Wayne Rooney for his outstanding goal scoring performance against The Tigers. Sir Alex Ferguson: “Wayne Rooney’s four goals obviously was the highlight of the match and he is in a great goal scoring form just now and for me, it was the special part of the game. We played some good football at times; we had some really good combination play, but I thought we were a bit frivolous in our game today. I thought we took unnecessary risks at times and we should have been punished by Hull when we scored the early goal.” Manchester United Team: Edwin van der Sar, Rafael, Rio Ferdinand, Jonny Evans, Patrice Evra, Nani, Paul Scholes, Darren Fletcher, Ji-Sung Park, Wayne Rooney, Michael Owen.
