Sir Alex Ferguson was well pleased with the effort of his men after watching his team overcome Hull City at Old Trafford. The Reds managed to win the encounter by a convincing score of 4-0 thanks to four brilliant goals from Three Lions international Wayne Rooney.

Sir Alex Ferguson was content with his Manchester United side following the comprehensive 4-0 triumph over Phil Brown´s Hull City and especially singled out Wayne Rooney for his outstanding goal scoring performance against The Tigers. Sir Alex Ferguson: “Wayne Rooney’s four goals obviously was the highlight of the match and he is in a great goal scoring form just now and for me, it was the special part of the game. We played some good football at times; we had some really good combination play, but I thought we were a bit frivolous in our game today. I thought we took unnecessary risks at times and we should have been punished by Hull when we scored the early goal.” Manchester United Team: Edwin van der Sar, Rafael, Rio Ferdinand, Jonny Evans, Patrice Evra, Nani, Paul Scholes, Darren Fletcher, Ji-Sung Park, Wayne Rooney, Michael Owen.
