Robin van Per­sie gave Man­chester Uni­ted the up­per hand on 25 min­utes, on­ly for Clint De­mp­sey to equal­ise for Spurs in stop­page time. Af­ter the 1-1 draw wi­th Tot­ten­ham, Sir Al­ex Fer­guson told the re­port­ers that The Reds had played bet­ter than The Li­ly­whites and that they had de­served to win the con­test. Sir Al­ex Fer­guson: “I tho­ught that we de­served a little bit more, but a draw we take it in the last min­ute.
