Man­chester Uni­ted ev­entually won the mat­ch 1-0 thanks to a goal from Italy U21 in­ter­na­tion­al Fe­d­erico Ma­cheda in the 20th min­ute of the fix­ture when the twenty-year-old stri­ker col­lec­ted a thro­ugh ball from Di­m­it­ar Ber­batov and ham­mered a low right-footed ef­fort pa­st ho­me goal­keeper Tapuwa Kapini and in­to the net. Fol­low­ing the tightly con­tested pre-sea­son friendly clash ag­ainst Amazulu, Sir Al­ex told the mass me­dia that was well pleased wi­th his Man­chester Uni­ted team´s ef­fort ag­ainst The Her­oes at the 54,000 ca­pa­city Moses Mab­hida Sta­dium in Durb­an and also gave a lot of cred­it to the So­uth Afric­an club. Sir Al­ex Fer­guson: “Amazulu showed a lot of pos­it­ive signs and I think they did very well. They wer­en’t over­whelmed by the oc­ca­sion in any way.
